heartbeat of teenup
At TeenUp, we believe every family can thrive when parents truly understand their child’s unique wiring. Thomas Edison was once labeled “unteachable” by his school, but his mother saw his brilliance and chose to nurture it. She taught him that failure isn’t the end—it’s how we learn what doesn’t work. Edison later credited his success to her belief in him and the thousands of experiments that didn’t work—until one did. Today, we have light because a parent chose connection over labels.
Whether you’re homeschooling, in the school system, or somewhere in between—TeenUp is here to help you reconnect. Through Neuro-Informed Parenting, we guide families to uncover how the brain works, how emotions flow, and how senses shape the world. Our assessments, journals, and coaching give parents the tools to build empathy, confidence, and lasting connection.

Brain Profile Assessements
When school struggles, anxiety, or disconnection show up, it’s easy to feel lost as a parent. Our Brain Profile Assessment (ages 10 and up — yes, adults too!) helps families understand how each person is uniquely wired. By uncovering learning styles, stress responses, and emotional patterns, you’ll gain insight into yourself and your child — opening the door to greater connection, confidence, and resilience at home.

Personal Coaching
For parents ready to go beyond awareness, our one-on-one online coaching sessions provide personalized guidance to help you apply your Brain Profile insights in practical, transformative ways. Together, we’ll uncover patterns, set meaningful goals, and create a clear path forward — tailored to your family’s unique journey.

Meet your coach
I’m Nelia — counsellor, neuro-agility specialist, motor development enthusiast, and mom of two amazing kids. For over two decades, I’ve worked with children, helping them grow not just in skill, but in self-awareness, emotional strength, and spiritual truth.
TeenUp was born from a deep desire to create what my teenage self longed for — and what I, as a mother today, need to truly understand and connect with my own beautiful children. This space is here to support tweens, teens, adults, and families in navigating their inner world with honesty, grace, and purpose.
I believe every person deserves the tools to know themselves deeply, love each other well, and grow together in the truth of who God says we are.
Together, ever growing, ever moving.
Inwards and Upwards.

Bricks of Hope
Our current project helps a single mother of two build a safe, stable home—a foundation for dignity, growth, and future dreams. Every purchase lays a brick of hope.
I met Ms Nelia, during a time of uncertainty in my life. I was in grade 11, 16 years old – and very unsure of who I was and what I wanted.
It all started with a brain assessment – I remember my mother telling me about it and I just flippantly dismissed it. “Okay” I said, sighing. I answered the questionnaire and thought nothing much about it. If you asked me about it then, I wouldn’t be able to predict the fruitful and loving person and relationship that would come my way. Someone who possesses a genuine concern for others and handles each and every person with great care and understanding.
In my past experiences with therapists, I found the whole thing cold and transactional. Around the 50 minute mark of those 1 hour sessions, the therapist would start to look at their watch and countdown the minutes. It felt so clear that this person was listening to my problems and past experiences because it was their job, and not because they wanted to. But you were the complete opposite – you understood that in order to gain vulnerability, you needed to be vulnerable as well. Our zoom sessions never felt like an obligation whatsoever. And I want to thank you for being the peace and safety in my life through all the turmoil that I was experiencing.
You made me realise that it was okay to not be okay, and that there are some things that I need to truly let go of in order to succeed. You have made such a great impact on my life and I will never forget you. Thank you so much for being who you are and for being that ray of sunshine and that emotional warmth. I’m sure that EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has met you can attest to that.
With the utmost gratitude,
